NURSING MOTHER SHOOTS BACK AT INTRUDER

Semantha Bunce, 21, a combat medic in the National Guard, was in her Charlotte, North Carolina, home breast-feeding her 4-month-old son in her bedroom when intruders barged in last Tuesday. As the intruders opened fire, Bunce fired back with her own weapon. Her son was unharmed. Semantha remains in the hospital recovering from injuries from at least two gunshot wounds. Police have charged Reco Dawkins Jr., 23, with attempted first degree murder, felony breaking and entering and conspiracy in connection with the incident.
* Hey, she didn’t survive being a combat medic by being a pushover.
* At four months, your biggest problem should be diaper rash, not a firefight.
* Something tells me Semantha was expecting trouble.
* I mean how many nursing mothers have a loaded weapon nearby while they’re feeding the baby?
* What would it be for? To pull a gun on the kid? “My nipples are getting sore. Put your hands up and step away from the breasts!”
* I bet the 4-month-old was thinking, “Wow, Mom’s a real bad-ass.”
