NJ THEME PARK CUTTING DOWN TREES FOR SOLAR FARM
The Six Flags Great Adventure theme park in New Jersey plans to cut down more than 18,000 trees for the construction of what it says will be the largest solar farm in the state. The park says the solar farm will be capable of meeting all of the park’s electricity needs. Six Flags spokeswoman Kristin Siebeneicher says the park and KDC Solar have pledged to replant 25,000 trees over a period of seven years.
* The solar farm will be located over in Ironicland.
* Great, you’re on the roller coaster when it gets cloudy so the ride stops.
* I didn’t think New Jersey had 18,000 trees.
* Of course, I’m kidding. Please don’t send anyone from the Sopranos to talk to me.
* You’ve heard the expression “off the grid”? Well, this is really going off the grid.
