NFL PROSPECT ASKED IF HE "LIKED MEN"
The National Football League is looking into a report that an assistant coach with the Atlanta Falcons asked a prospect if he liked men. The coach reportedly asked Ohio State cornerback Eli Apple the question during the NFL Combine. Apple, a redshirt sophomore, was asked by Comcast SportsNet’s “Breakfast on Broad” what was the weirdest question he was asked during his interview at the NFL Combine. Apple replied that the Falcons coach asked him, “‘So do you like men?’ It was like the first thing he asked me.” Apple replied no, adding, “He was like, ‘If you’re going to come to Atlanta, sometimes that’s how it is around here, you’re going to have to get used to it.’ I guess he was joking but they just ask most of these questions to see how you’re going to react.” Atlanta Falcons head coach Dan Quinn apologized for the question, saying he has spoken to the coach that interviewed Eli Apple and explained to him how inappropriate and unprofessional it was.
* And nosy.
* Remember – if they ask you if you’d rather be playing center, it’s a trick question.
* What is the coach saying? If the player is coming to Atlanta, he should get used to guys hitting on him?
* Maybe the coach wanted to ask him out.
* Wait – back up – what the heck is “Breakfast on Broad”? I’m picturing a woman in a bikini laying on her back with a couple of Danish on her belly.
* This is one of the few times the NFL would rather talk about the concussion problem.
* I still think it was weirder when they asked that one player if his mom was hot.
* And it’s not like this questioning period is weeding out the true psychos anyway.
* We all know it comes down to one main question: Can you play football or not?
* We’ve got to get past the gay questioning and back to whether Tom Brady deflated his balls or not. Let me rephrase that.
