NEWLYWEDS HAVE FIRST DANCE IN MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC JAM
A pair of Ohio newlyweds were on their way to the wedding reception in Dayton when they found themselves blocked by a traffic jam, from an accident up ahead. Jeff and Rebecca Payne, who were traveling with videographer Levi Curby, made the most out of it. They cranked Alison Krauss’ “When You Say Nothing At All” on the car sound system, got out of the car and and had their first dance in the middle of the street. The videographer captured the moment. Curby told Inside Edition: “They were two sports, they handled the whole thing so well. They did great. The dance turned it into a party.”
* “Which was good, ’cause otherwise we would have been bummed out about the dead people in the traffic accident.”
* Okay, maybe nobody died, but how’d you like to hear a bunch of people partying while your car’s being towed away?
* The dance turned the traffic jam into a party? Okay, but don’t try it during the commute.
* But then they were late for the honeymoon …
* Yeah, there was a traffic jam after the reception so they had to do it on the lawn outside the hall.
* This is historic. It was the first time a bad turn of events wasn’t the husband’s fault.
* Maybe because they’d only been married for like a half hour.
* Sure, it sounds great now but you know what’ll happen if the marriage goes south: “Your honor, then he forced me to do our first dance in a traffic jam.”(sob)
* PHONE TOPIC: My unusual wedding experience.
