NEW INTEREST IN CROCODILE MEAT

Would you eat crocodile meat? Many cultures do. For example, in Thailand the price of pork has gone up while the supply has gone down, and people are switching to crocodile, which is half the price. Crocodile farm owner Wichai Rungtaweechai says that each animal yields about 26 pounds of meat, and though its different parts can be prepared in various ways, it’s the upper part of the tail that’s the tastiest. Those who have tried it say crocodile meat tastes similar to – can you guess??? That’s right: chicken.
* Mmmm… lizard.
* It tastes like chicken, with hints of swamp.
* Crocodile, huh? I’ll bet the alligators are getting nervous.
* Well, we’ve all got crock pots, might as well use them for what they’re designed for.
* It won’t be long until Costco puts in a gator tank so you can choose one, like a lobster.
