NAKED MAN WRESTLES SNAKE TO SAVE KITTEN

A Kimberly, Australia, man saved his cat from being eaten by a snake. Nick Kearns said he was sleeping, naked, in his bedroom when he awoke to the sound of his partner screaming. A 7-foot python was in his garden attacking one of his pet kittens, coiled around the animal. Nick, who had completed a snake handling course several years before (* Crikey, what forethought!), sprung into action. He jumped up – naked of course – and ran outside. While his partner held the tail of the snake, Nick grabbed hold of its body and managed to wrest his kitten from its coils. Said Nick, “There was no way I was going to stand by and let it eat the kitten.” However, while Nick managed to rescue the kitten, as he released his grip, the snake turned and sank its fangs into his right hand.
* He must have missed the last snake handling class.
* Snake vs. kitten. It’s not often you get adorable and nasty in the same story.
