MOST PEOPLE KISS TO THE RIGHT

An international (* INTERNATIONAL!) study by psychologists and neuroscientists has found humans are hard-wired to favor leaning their head to the right while kissing. The research, by the Universities of Dhaka in Bangladesh, and Bath in England, found that kiss recipients have a tendency to match their partners’ head-leaning direction. The study, published in the journal Scientific Reports, found that men were about 15 times more likely to initiate kissing than women, and both partners showed a bias for turning their heads to the right. Also, a person being left- or right-handed predicted their head-leaning direction, but this was only the case if they initiated the kiss.
* Who’s the kiss-up who came up with this study?
* Aren’t we just trying to avoid crunching our noses together?
* If one person wears braces, all bets are off.
* Good work. Next up: In which hand do most people hold their beer cup at frat parties?
* I can report that dogs tend NOT to lean their heads to either side when kissing. It’s just one big slurp.
