MOST DANGEROUS TOYS 2019
World Against Toys Causing Harm unveiled its annual list of 2019’s Most Dangerous Toys. The potential injuries include, as usual, choking hazards and eye injuries:
1. Nerf Ultra One: a gun that fires Nerf-tipped missiles “up to 120 feet.” (* Yeah, with a good wind maybe.)
2. Spike the Fine Motor Hedgehog: a plastic hedgehog with plastic “quills” measuring approximately 3 1/2 inches long that can be removed and swallowed.
3. Bunchems: multi-colored activity balls that are meant to stick together in building activities. There have been report of the plastic, connective toys becoming snarled in children’s hair. SNARLED!
4. Yeti: a “cuddle” toy with long, fiber-like hair that can be pulled out and injested, like a hairball.
5. Nickelodeon Scented Slime: slime that smells like “mint chocolate chip”, “berry smoothie”, and “soft serve.” At the same time, the manufacturer issues a warning: “NOT REAL FOOD – DO NOT EAT.”
6. Anstoy Electronic Toy Gun: it looks like an automatic rifle. It shoots small water pellets that explode on impact.
7. Pogo Trick Board: a board with a ball in the middle. Basically, it’s like balancing on a board sitting on top of a bouncy ball.
8. Power Rangers Electronic Cheetah Claw: a hard-plastic glove the child wears with plastic claws that extend when you jerk it. Would hurt like hell if someone hit you in the head with it.
* So, no really cool dangerous toys this year.
* Another danger with Power Rangers Electronic Cheetah Claw: Being sued by Wolverine.
* We’re just lucky that “Yeti” is the only one of the 84,000 dolls for sale that has hair you can pull off and eat.
* Maybe you just want to give your little snowflake a deck of cards and a book this Christmas.
* WATCH also reminds you to eat Cream of Wheat every morning, rice cakes for dessert and never go outside without your mommy holding your hand.
