MOM SAVES BABY BY STICKING FINGERS UP CROCODILE’S NOSE
A mother in Zimbabwe rescued her toddler from a killer crocodile last week by jamming her fingers up its nose. Maurina Musisinyana, 30, had left her two children playing on the bank of the Runde River while she went fishing nearby when she heard a scream and saw her son Gideon being dragged away by the huge croc. Musisinyana jumped on the beast and used her fingers to block its nose, forcing it to release its grip on the boy, a tip she said she learned “from the elders long back.” She said, “If you suffocate a crocodile from its nose, it loses its strength and that is exactly what I did. I used my other arm to free my baby’s head from its jaws.” Gideon was taken to a nearby hospital and has since made a full recovery.
* That’s a nice piece of advice from the elders. A better one would have been “Don’t leave your children alone at the riverbank,” but whatever.
* Actually, it’s kind of surprising anyone in that village lives long enough to become an elder.
* Once you have your fingers in its nose, you have to go “Woo woo woo woo woo” like Curly of the Three Stooges.
* Imagine how many other methods the elders tried before they found something that worked.
* The worst part, though, is crocodile boogers.
