MOM PULLS SON OUT OF THE RIOTS

By now you’ve probably seen the video of the Baltimore mother, dressed in a bright yellow top, pulling her son, dressed in black with a mask over his face, from the Baltimore riots. She was filmed by a TV news crew smacking her son upside the head when she spotted him rioting and throwing rocks at police. She reportedly said, “You want to be out here doing this dumb [stuff]? Get the [bleep] over here. Get over here now, do you hear what I say?!” Blows rained down on the son’s head as he struggled to get away while a large crowd looked on. He eventually was able to separate himself from his mother, but not before she had gotten the mask off of his face. As he walked away from the scene, his mother trailed after him while carrying a pink cellphone.
* Here come the “Your Mama” jokes.
* To think I used to get embarrassed when my mom talked with my teachers about me.
* The man wanted to respond with a statement but his mom sent him to his room.
* He should be able to rebuild his street cred in fifty or sixty years.
* If only Obama would take charge like this.
* Kind of strange having those police brutality jokes at the White House Correspondents dinner while this was going on right up the road.
* Nero, anyone?
* Plus, something about canceling baseball games because of rioting is a little too real.
