MMMM … APPLE COMPUTER SCENTED CANDLE
For many Apple computer fans, one of the best things about unboxing a Mac product is that sweet, sweet new computer smell. Now that odor can be yours, because there’s a new candle that purports to deliver that new Mac smell. Charleston, South Carolina-based Twelve South, which specializes in Apple accessories, is offering what it calls the New Mac Candle, which, for just $24, gives you that fresh, Apple computer smell. How they achieved that unique smell is unclear, but the company’s website states that the candle’s scent includes notes of “mint, peach, basil, lavender, mandarin and sage.” Unfortunately, just one day after the product went on sale, the candle has already sold out. But the company promises a restocking announcement later this month.
* I believe that smell is unicorn farts, no?
* Unfortunately, every time you light the candle, it nags you to install the iOS 10 update.
* “Mint, peach, basil, lavender, mandarin and sage,” just like the ingredients in a real computer!
* I don’t want to split hairs here, but they forgot the vanilla, cinnamon, and citrus notes.
* Consumer warning: The new iPhone has no headphone jack, and the next version of this candle has no wick.
* I’d buy candle with a hardware store scent in a heartbeat. That mix of metal, paint, lawn care and desperation trying to find the right part.
* Wait, that 24 bucks is a misprint. Because it smells like an Apple the candle costs $1,800.
* But for three or four hundred we can get you a candle that smells like a Dell.
* I knew they’d miss Steve Jobs but this is ridiculous.
* Meanwhile my computer smells like somebody left the iron on.
* Careful what you wish for … I remember when everyone loved the new car smell. Then it came out that it was toxic and unhealthy for you.
* PHONE TOPIC: What unusual, unique scent do you like?
