MILLIONAIRE LOOKING FOR 10 RANDOM PEOPLE TO LIVE ON HIS TROPICAL ESTATE

A multimillionaire iced coffee mogul from Germany is seeking 10 people to live with him at his $5.6 million coastal New Zealand estate. Karl Reipen, who got rich from selling canned iced coffee drinks, is looking for people aged 70 or younger to join a communal living situation at his remote estate on New Zealand’s North Island. His advertisement says, “If you are interested to live a life with a group of interesting people it can be a new life for you. You can enjoy walking, fishing, shopping, kayaking, bird watching, swimming or looking at the nice animals.” Reipen says it took 10 years to bring his estate up to modern standards, and “Now where everything is finished I would like to share the ‘paradise’ with nice people.” You’d better not mind isolation – the two nearest cities are 90 minutes away. The ad does not specify how potential inhabitants will be selected.
* You realize that this is the plot of about two dozen movies, and not one of them ends well.
* Either you’re going to be tracked down by big game hunters, or you’re going be used in animal-human hybrid experiments, or one of you is a murderer killing off the others one-by-one.
* I’ll tell you how potential inhabitants will be selected. They must not be able to run fast.
* He’s a multimillionaire who doesn’t have 10 friends? Is it his body odor?
* We might have found a rich guy who’s nuttier than Elon Musk.
