MEXICAN MAYOR MADE TO WEAR DRESS FOR NOT DELIVERING ON CAMPAIGN PROMISE
Residents of a municipality in southern Mexico got fed up with their mayor after he failed to keep a campaign promise, so they made him wear a dress and paraded him around town for four days. Mayor Javier Jimenez was made to walk around in a long dark skirt and frilly white blouse with flowery embroidery in front of furious residents of San Andrés Puerto Rico. Another city official, Luis Ton, was also made to wear a bright pink dress with white polka dots. One of the key complaints is that Jimenez has not come through on his campaign promise to allocate 3 million pesos (equivalent to about $158,000) for improvements to the town’s water system. Jimenez and Ton also were forced to solicit funds from passing motorists in order to raise money for improving the water system.
* The worst part? None of his purses matched the outfit.
* You want it to really hurt? Make ’em wear heels.
* Unfortunately, he took all the money he collected and went and bought a whole new wardrobe at Dress Barn.
* And next week, he’s the special co-host on RuPaul’s Drag Race.
