MERIT BADGES FOR ADULTING
You know how the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts give out merit badges for doing things, like canoeing or hiking? A website called Winks for Days has come out with an amusing line of “Adulting Merit Badges” – little iron-on badges that congratulate adults for doing adult things. For example, there’s a badge with a picture of a piggy bank and the words “Saved Some Money”, or one with the Netflix logo that says “Only Watched One Episode.” You can buy a bunch of them for $19.95 at the Winks For Days website. Here are some of the other Adulting Merit Badges:
– Made Coffee
– Watered the Plants
– Called My Mom
– Went Outside Today
– Put Pants On
– Avoided Confrontation
– Minded My Own Business
– Only Had One Glass Of Wine
– Went To The Gym
– Ate A Vegetable
– Used A Coupon
– Drank Some Water
and of course, the rarely used merit badge…
– Flossed
* Man, some of those are tough.
* Boy, they’re missing a bunch, aren’t they? Like “Didn’t Pee in the Shower”, “Changed Underwear” …
* By the way, something I learned the hard way about “Went Outside Today” and “Put Pants On” – you should do those in the opposite order. Put pants on before you go outside.
* How about for every badge you earn you get a Thin Mint?
* Actually, there should be a badge for “Did Not Eat The Entire Roll Of Thin Mints.”
