MEN & WOMEN: BEING ALONE TOGETHER
Vice-President Mike Pence is famously reluctant to simply be alone in a room with another woman who is not his wife. A new Morning Consult poll conducted for The New York Times asked about a range of situations where male and female work colleagues might be alone together. The question: Is it appropriate or inappropriate to do the following activities alone with a man or woman for a purely business or social reason? Can’t we all just be friends?
– Having a drink: 60% of women, 48% of men think it is inappropriate.
– Having dinner: 53% of women, 45% of men think it is inappropriate.
– Having lunch: 44% of women, 36% of men think it is inappropriate.
– Driving in a car: 47% or women, 58% of men think this is OK.

* Driving in a car? Like, to a motel?
* What if the place the two of you work at is a nudist colony?
* Does this survey make sense if we don’t know how hot the people are?
* I know how this all turns out. I’ve seen “When Harry Met Sally”.
