MAN'S HOUSE HAS BEEN HIT BY CARS SIX TIMES

Carlo Bernarte’s house in Raleigh, North Carolina, has been hit by cars six times. The most recent was just last Saturday, around 4:50 a.m. The driver plowed through the entrance wall to the neighborhood, and right through Bernarte’s property, sending trees to the ground and rocks through the wall and windows. The previous time was in October 2015. A drunk driver hit his home and later died at the hospital. Bernarte moved into the home that sits on a corner in 2004. He said his home had been hit at least once before he moved in, but he never thought it would happen again. When he moved in with his wife and one son, the house was hit in 2007 and in 2008, 2013, 2015 and now 2016. He has been talking to city engineers, but they have not been receptive to his suggestions. He’s even lost his homeowner’s insurance over this. “From like two accidents ago, already sent me a letter that they’re like canceling it because of the frequency,” said Bernarte. He plans on moving his family as soon as he can.
* Hurry – before the tractor trailer hits.
* He should install a jump ramp, to send cars into the next yard.
* Better yet, a moat. With alligators.
* This house has so much “curb appeal”, cars want to jump the curb and ram it.
* At least set up a camera so the rest of us can watch.
* Heck, this would be better than some of the reality shows they have on now.
* The surprise isn’t that the latest car knocked down trees. The surprise is that there were any trees left to begin with.
* You know what they say about real estate: Location, location, location.
* PHONE TOPIC: Have you been hit with an odd event more than once? More than twice?
