MAN THREATENS TO SHOOT BOY FOR REVEALING "STAR WARS" SPOILERS
A Montana man is charged with threatening to shoot a boy for sharing information about a subplot of the new “Star Wars” movie during an online conversation. Arthur Charles Roy, 18, of Helena, was charged with felony assault with a weapon and jailed with his bail set at $10,000. Roy became angry when he learned details about “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” from a Facebook friend, prosecutors said. Roy then sent the friend a picture of himself with a gun and threatened to come to the victim’s school to shoot him. The boy reported the threat and his high school was locked down after students said they were afraid Roy might follow through with his threat. According to arrest documents, Roy’s mother asked why her son was being arrested since it was only a BB gun in the photo.
* Well, we can see where he gets his smarts from.
* I have a feeling this guy’s going to be un-Friended.
* When it comes to Star Wars spoilers, “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.”
* With any luck he should be out of prison by the next Star Wars sequel.
* I know one thing: Making an entire school go into lock-down isn’t going to help his case any.
* Okay, he’s in Montana … was there any mention of working on a manifesto?
* See the progress here? The Unabomber had to work hard to be nuts. Now – thanks to online conversations – it’s so much easier.
* The good news? The man just qualified for the 2015 Internet Troll of the Year.
