MAN STORMS OUT OF HOUSE AFTER ARGUMENT, WALKS 260 MILES

A man who stormed out of his home in northern Italy after arguing with his wife went for a walk to cool off and kept on going for a week. The man left his house in Lombardy and headed south via Bologna. After his wife filed a missing person’s report for her husband, police stopped him in Fano, a town around 260 miles (420 kilometers) south of his home. The man, who appeared “lucid and focused” despite being cold and tired, told police he hadn’t realized that he had covered so much ground on his week-long journey. He said he had been given food from people he met along the way. The man was taken to a hotel, and the next day his wife set out to drive south to collect her runaway husband.
* The weird thing is, the fight was her complaining that he never takes her anywhere.
* What’s Italian for “walk it off”?
* Boy, that’s gonna be a loooong ride home, huh?
* They didn’t give his name, but I bet it’s Forresto Gumpa.
