MAN STEALS HIS MOTHER'S TV

Police in Girardville, Pennsylvania, reported that on Saturday night, Anthony Edmonson, 26, stole his 72-year-old mother’s 42-inch flat-screen TV by smuggling it out of her house hidden in a futon. They said he then sold the TV to a neighbor. Edmonson was charged with theft by unlawful taking and theft by deception.
* He was also charged with being a very bad son.
* A flat-screen TV hidden inside a futon. As if futons weren’t uncomfortable enough already.
* Futons get so little respect, they don’t even include it as part of the robbery.
* Theft by unlawful taking? Okay, but is there any other way?
* I never will under stand legalese.
* “Theft by deception.” So if you steal something by hiding it inside something else, that makes it even MORE wrong.
* Did he try the “I don’t know the TV was in there” trick?
* He took it Saturday night so she never even got to see this week’s “Game of Thrones.”
* Maybe that’s what happens when you have a kid when you’re 46. The mother-son bond isn’t as strong.
