MAN STABBED TO DEATH OVER MISSING HAT
A British man was stabbed to death in an argument over a $175 (£135) hat. Blair Dixon, 25, was in court this week for stabbing John Cingelis, 37, in the chest back in April, believing the man had stolen his Canada Goose beanie. He later found he had left the hat at another friend’s house (D’oh!). Dixon pleaded guilty to manslaughter and was sentenced to prison for 12 years.
* Gee, don’t you think that’s a little harsh just for a hat-stabbin’?
* Yet the Canada Goose company gets off scot-free for selling a beanie for $175.
* Yes, the Canada Goose company does, in fact sell a $175 beanie. But I bet not many.
* Imagine the guy when he gets out of jail in 12 years and they’re handing back his street clothes: “Hey, I believe I also left you with a pair of socks?”
* Since it was a Canada Goose hat, the Canadian trade minister issued an apology.
