MAN SHOT TWICE, KEEPS DRIVING

Police say a 29-year-old man in Philadelphia continued to drive a car after being shot twice in the head. Officers in the Kensington area of the city pulled over a car that was being driven erratically around 7 p.m. Tuesday. The officers found the driver had been shot in the right forehead and right cheek. He was taken to Temple University Hospital where he is in critical but stable condition. Police say the man was conscious and speaking, but declined to tell them where the shooting happened.
* In the head, duh!
* I see a lot of people on the road who drive like they’ve been shot in the head.
* If he was shot twice in the head, I wouldn’t say he was driving erratically. I’d say he was driving great.
* I just wish the Eagles would show this kind of resolve.
* Critical but stable? Are they just trying to be kind?
* “He’s right on the bubble of living or dying. And staying there. Right on the bubble. From moment to moment.”
* Monday we had a drunk passenger in a car who didn’t know he was shot twice, now a driver shot twice … maybe it’s time to start taking the bus.
* Did he get off the classic line? You know the one. It’s the perfect line for these situations. Ready … altogether … “It’s just a flesh wound.”
* Of course, he skipped the British accent, but you have to give him that. He’d been shot.
* Look at the bright side: At least the Pope made it out of Philly alive.
