MAN HAD 62 DUCKS IN HIS VAN

Police have charged an Iowa City man after they found 62 ducks crowded into an abandoned van. 69-year-old Francis Prohaska faces an animal neglect charge after police discovered the ducks in a parked U-Haul van. The ducks were stacked in cages and covered in feces and feathers. Police received a call Monday evening to report a bad odor coming from the van. Officials say 19 of the ducks were dead and there was no food or water available. The ducks that survived are now at the Iowa City Animal Care Center, after being examined and fed.
