MAN HAD 6-INCH WORM REMOVED FROM EYE

A 60-year-old man went to the doctor in Kundapur, India, complaining about constant pain and itching in his eyes. It was easy to see what the problem was – the man had a parasitic worm in his eyeball (* Then why didn’t he see it in the mirror?). The challenge, said Dr. Srikanth Shetty, was to pull out the entire worm alive, as killing it inside the eye would have created complications. He added, “It was also difficult to pin it down as it was moving around.” The doctor was able to remove the 6-inch long worm from the man’s eye. The eye worms, Wuchereria Bancrofti, are spread by a mosquitos.
* Eye-yi-yi.
* The man kept complaining: “Everything looks like spaghetti!”
* Meanwhile, the worm was thinking, “Nice place, but where are all the ladies?”
* When they finally get around to making an Indian version of “American Horror Story”, they’re just going to send a documentary crew out into the countryside.
* We’ve now had stories about pretty much every kind of creature being pulled out of someone in India, except the larger species of whales.
