MAN FALLS ASLEEP ON CELL PHONE CHARGER, GETS ELECTROCUTED
A man in Chonburi, Thailand, was electrocuted to death on Sept. 27 after falling asleep next to a gaming console and two mobile phones, one of which was plugged into an extension cord and charging. Sastra Mo-in, 25, was staying with his aunt, who found his body the next morning when she entered the room to clean it. The aunt noticed that Sastra was motionless. His skin had a purple tinge and his left hand, which was lying near the charging cords, also had red burn marks. The coroner listed Sastra’s cause of death as “electrocution by mobile phone”. According to his aunt, Sastra was an avid gamer who would often play video games on his bed and fall asleep with his phones still plugged in.
* You snooze, you lose.
* Smartphone. Dumb guy.
* In Thailand, do you live with your aunt once you’ve been kicked out of your mother’s basement?
* His cell phone company said they would not discount the, er, charges.
* Good luck when the coroner tries to get his hair to lay down flat.
