MAN BREAKS ONTO TARMAC, TRIES TO FLAG DOWN MISSED AIRPLANE

Police arrested a man at Dublin airport on Thursday morning for breaking onto the tarmac and trying to chase down a plane after missing his flight. The man in his twenties and a woman had missed a Ryanair flight to Amsterdam. As the couple spoke with airline staff at the gate, the man broke through the door and ran onto the tarmac. He then tried to flag down the plane as it taxied away from the gate, but he was held back by staff. The man was taken to a nearby police station for questioning.
* He was arrested for unlawfully imitating the end of a romantic comedy.
* “I’m sorry, I thought all these security rules you’ve had in place since 9/11 applied to everybody but me. I was misled.”
* “Gee, the whole flagging down a ride thing always works when I need a cab …”
* He ran onto the tarmac to chase a plane? If only he had run that fast getting to his gate.
* You can’t blame him. Who wants to spend another minute in Dublin?
