MAN ATTEMPTS TO BREAK COVID 9PM CURFEW WITH STUFFED DOG

The Czech Republic has a 9 p.m. curfew, requiring people to stay home to avoid the spread of COVID. One exception allows people out of the house at night to walk their dog. One man in the town of (* good luck) České Budějovice (CHESS-ka BOO-day-yah-vitt-sa) was caught by local police after curfew “walking his dog” – only the dog was a toy stuffed dog. When first caught, the man told the police, “I’m walking a dog here, I’m not doing anything illegal.” He then tried to claim it was an artistic practical joke. In the end, they let him off with a warning.
* “Officer, I was just taking him out for a drag.”
* “Sir, that dog is stuffed.” “I’ll say! He eats four bowls of chow a day!”
* They did make him clean up the pile of lint from his dog.
* It’s the COVID equivalent of riding in the HOV lane with a mannequin in the passenger seat.
* Things are so locked down in the Czech Republic, THIS is the big news story that made it onto the internet.
