MAN ARRESTED FOR SHOOTING AT HIS OWN STOLEN TRUCK

A man was at a gas station in North Little Rock, Arkansas, when he saw his 2014 Dodge Ram being driven off. He ran out of the store and fired five shots from his concealed-carry Smith and Wesson .38 special towards the truck, hitting the back windshield. Unfortunately, he also hit a window of an occupied motel room at a nearby Econo Lodge. The room’s occupant was not injured. The stolen truck was found abandoned about 30 minutes after the incident, with damage to the driver’s door glass and the rear glass from the gunshots. The truck’s owner, Jason Betts, was arrested for firing a handgun in the city limits.
* It’s against the law in the South to intentionally harm your own truck, I think.
* I have a feeling the shattered windows aren’t covered by his car insurance.
* When they turned down his claim, he took a couple shots at the Geico lizard.
* His plan here was what? Get his front seat covered with blood and brains?
* Oh, wonderful. You’re staying at an Econo Lodge so things are already not great. And then the bullets start flying.
* Aim for a truck and hit a motel? Guy needs to spend more time at the shooting range.
* Concealed carry? Maybe this guy should try concealing his car keys after he locks his truck.
* I can just hear the new advertising slogan: “Guts. Glory. Bullets. Ram.”
* The damage was even worst than Tiger Woods’ truck after his wife went off.
* And spare me the part where the man has a right to open fire on his own truck because this is America.
