Did you ever get a holiday gift from your company? Was it a good one, or was it lousy? Here is a list of Horrible Corporate Gifts That People Actually Received, according to a survey from Snappy, a company that specializes in corporate gift giving. (* Their slogan had better be “Gimme a gift, and make it Snappy!”)
– Quail from the boss’ hunting trip
– Season tickets to the Little League of the chief executive officer’s son
– A seatbelt cutter
– A tourniquet
– Coupon for McDonald’s apple pie
– Cheap wine
– Mousepad
– Banana
– Socks
– Can of soda
– Company logo items: ice scraper, coin, keychain, clock, pen, ornament
* Some of these are horrible gifts, but I’m on the fence with the coupon for McDonald’s apple pie.
* Suddenly those stress balls they gave us here last year don’t seem so bad.
* Company logo items are great ’cause on evenings and weekends you can be reminded of your sucky job.
* Cheap wine, a seatbelt cutter and a tourniquet is its own little short story, isn’t it?
