LONELY? HUG A TREE

Getting lonely for human contact? Try hugging a tree. In Israel, the country’s Nature and Parks Authority is trying to help people overcome the sense of detachment that coronavirus social-distancing rules can bring by suggesting people hug a tree. Orit Steinfeld, the authority’s marketing director, says, “In this unpleasant corona period we recommend to people around the world to go out to nature, take a deep breath, hug a tree, express your love and get love.”
* But just remember: FULLY express your love, get arrested.
* So hug a tree. But don’t be knotty.
* Get there early. You don’t want an ugly one.
* And make sure you get the tree’s consent, or it’s #MeToo for you!
