LAMBORGHINI USED FOR ORGAN TRANSPLANT
Italian Police rushed a donor kidney from Padua to Rome for a transplant in a Lamborghini Huracan. The trip is normally six hours, but by using the high performance car, the police made it happen in just about two hours at an average speed of 143 mph. The police turned the front trunk of the car – known as the frunk – into a refrigerated compartment for the organ. People on Twitter have wondered why Italian officials didn’t just use a helicopter to transport the kidney. Apparently, the starting hospital in Padua doesn’t have a helipad or an easily accessible flat area nearby, so a Lamborghini likely made the most sense.
* I highly doubt that. Someone just wanted to have some fun.
* The actual trip was only half an hour, but the driver spent 90 minutes stuck in an Italian traffic circle.
* What – the Italians don’t have sub-orbital rockets?
* It was the first donated kidney with wind rash.
* I’m seeing this as a TV show that’s a cross between “Speed Racer” and “9-1-1”.
