KIDNAPPER COULDN'T DRIVE STICK
In Sumter, South Carolina, 27-year-old Demetric Nelson entered the home of a 53-year-old woman and demanded money from her at gunpoint. Then, he attempted to abduct the woman and steal her car. He forced the woman into the trunk of her car. Unfortunately for Nelson, it was a manual transmission and he couldn’t drive stick. While he struggled to use the car, the woman was able to use the emergency latch in the truck to get out. She was then able to flag down an officer for help. Police later captured Nelson, charging him with kidnapping and armed robbery.
* And burning out her clutch.
* How many times have I said: if you’re going on The Amazing Race, or planning to kidnap somebody, learn to drive stick.
* “Okay, is this an extra gas pedal, or an extra brake pedal?”
* Then after the escaping and flagging down an officer, the woman assisted in the arrest and filled out the officer’s police report.
* Some people do it all.
* Don’t worry. As charges go, kidnapping and armed robbery aren’t that serious.
* Just don’t make any appointments for the next 30 years.
* Now his cellmate will be showing him how to handle stick.
* Even Aaron Hernandez thought this guy was a dumb ass.
