KENYAN OFFICIALS DIG UP DEAD MAN TO RETRIEVE HIS UNIFORM

Residents of a small Kenyan village were upset when county officials exhumed the body of a man who had recently died so they could repossess his uniform. Martin Alukoye, 31, died on Aug. 7 when he drowned while suffering an epileptic seizure while trying to cross the Eburinde River. He was buried Sunday in his Kakamega County Youth Service uniform. The next day, county administrators went to the family’s home to ask for the return of his service uniform. When they learned that the family had buried him in his uniform, they demanded the body be exhumed to retrieve it. Despite protests from the family and without a court order, the county officials exhumed the body and took the uniform.
* A little Febreeze, a visit to the dry cleaner, and it’s like new.
* This week must have been Kwame’s turn to wear the uniform.
* It’s like burying somebody in their Walmart uniform. Weird.
* Maybe the villagers could rebury him in a mushroom suit, like Luke Perry.

* Adding insult to injury, the family had to ask the government for their shovel back.
