INDIAN MAN SWALLOWS TOOTHBRUSH

An Indian man accidentally swallowed his toothbrush and had to have it surgically removed. The unnamed Pasighat resident, 39, was reportedly brushing the back of his throat on September 15 when the toothbrush slipped and disappeared down his gullet. The man went to a nearby clinic, where doctors could not find the missing dental hygiene tool. They sent him to a hospital in Pradesh, where he received a throat scan and X-rays. A surgeon suspected the brush had entered into the stomach, so he performed an exploratory laparotomy — where the belly is cut open to aid diagnosis — and there it was.
* But where else would it be?
* Back of the throat? He knows it’s called a TOOTHbrush, right?
* One doctor suggested he just leave it in his stomach, but he bristled at that idea.
* I bet THAT guy’s popular at parties.
* Now he can’t find his pack of floss.
