ICICLES ARE FULL OF BIRD POOP

An Iowa meteorologist is imploring the public to refrain from licking icicles during the winter. Posting on TikTok, Sioux Falls weatherwoman Katie Nickolaou says, “When icicles form, it’s from water that melts off your roof and runs down the side of a building. You know what else is on your roof? Bird poop. A lot of it.” That fecal runoff freezes in the ice, so if you’re eating an icicle off the roof, you’re eating bird droppings. Social media immediate came up with the line, “So you could say it’s literally a poopcicle?”
