HONG KONG MAN PAYS $969,000 FOR PARKING SPACE

A Hong Kong downtown parking space just sold for a record $969,000. The parking space is located in front of the 79-story office tower The Center. The identity of the buyer was not made public, but it is someone with office space inside the skyscraper, which has only 40 parking spaces available.
* My guess is that it’s the guy who’s going to be parking in that space.
* It’s a lot of money, but you also get a lovely white stripe on either side of the space.
* For almost $1 million, why not set up one of those tiny houses in the space and live there?
* If you park in that space accidentally, your car will be towed, compressed into a cube and dropped on your front porch.
* $969,000 and still pigeons can crap on it.
