HANGOVER CURE DISCOVERED
A group of Finnish researchers believe they’ve discovered a cure for hangovers. A dose of 1,200 milligrams of amino acid L-cysteine was found to reduce alcohol-related nausea and headache, according to a study published in the journal Alcohol and Alcoholism by researchers at the University of Helsinki. L-cysteine is found in many foods including meat, dairy products, eggs, nuts, seeds, and legumes. The study had 19 healthy male volunteers consuming specific amounts of alcohol over three hours in a controlled setting. The subjects were then asked to swallow either placebo or L-cysteine tablets containing vitamin supplements. Researchers say that as well as reducing or even eliminating hangovers entirely, L-cysteine also helps reduce the need of drinking the next day, thereby cutting the risk of alcohol addiction.
* It sounds like it not only cures your hangover, but also apologizes to your ex for drunk-dialing her.
* Well, I know what I’m doing THIS weekend!
* How many one-day shipping orders for L-cysteine do you think Amazon’s going to be getting, to the nearest 10 thousand?
* Maybe you reearchers can start working on that COVID cure now, huh?
* A cure for a Hangover is great, but there’s still no cure for The Hangover 2 and 3; those were just blatant cash grabs.
