HANGING ON TO KEEPSAKES

A survey from stationery website Minted.com asked about things people hold onto as keepsakes:
– Why do we hang on to stuff? 52% said they would feel guilty throwing it away.
– 61% are keeping a birthday card
– 44% are keeping a Valentine’s card
– 43% still have a gift from their child
– 25% of those surveyed still have a keepsake from a past relationship
* That’s the same 25% who just can’t figure out how to get nude selfies off their cellphones.
* Some mementos of a past relationship are hard to get rid of. Like the scar on the forehead from when she threw the beer bottle.
* 52% would feel guilty throwing stuff away. The rest of us are too lazy to go through all our boxes of junk.
* And we wonder why Americans have a hoarding problem.
