GUY WINS $1,000, THEN $10 MILLION

Just moments after winning $1,000 on a lottery scratch ticket, a Modesto, California, man learned that he was the winner of a $10 million prize. Rodney Meadows was out running errands Nov. 23 when he decided to pick up some $30 California Lottery 30th anniversary scratchers tickets from a Fast Mart in Modesto. Meadows won $1,000 on the first ticket he bought, so he decided to “let it ride” and bought three more tickets. One was a $10 million winner. Meadows says he typically buys four or five tickets a week.

* Quite a list of errands the guy was on: “Get some gas … check … Go to the mall … check … win 10 million dollars … check.”
* Enjoy your Christmas in Aruba this year.
* Right after you bite me.
* For me they’re called “scratch” tickets ’cause that’s what I win – scratch.
* Hey, Rodney – scratch this.
* How would you like to be the poor kid working away at this Fast Mart and a customer rolls through and makes 10 million?
* The guy won the lottery? Who says the American Dream is dead?
