GUY SOLVES SIX RUBIK’S CUBES UNDERWATER

An 18-year-old student from the country of Georgia solved six Rubik’s Cubes underwater in one breath on Friday, and set a new Guinness World Record. Vako Marchelashvili was submerged in a glass tank for just over one minute and 44 seconds as he solved the cubes in front of a crowd at a water park. He said he had been preparing for the underwater challenge for six months, training several hours a day. Marchelashvili said, “I trained a lot planning to break a record – and to ensure my safety because even a small mistake could be dangerous and life-altering.”
* It’s not like there was a lid on the water tank. There wasn’t. He just had to stand up.
* You’d hate to have in your obituary that you died from trying to solve six Rubik’s Cubes underwater.
* Doesn’t sound very exciting. Maybe throw in a couple jellyfish?
* This achievement will help Vako to … that is, it’ll come in handy when … uh, I mean, now he’ll be able to … hmmm.
* America’s Got Talent. Georgia, not so much.
* Anyway, that’s the news from 1983.
