GRANDPA DRIVES CADILLAC INTO POOL
Last Wednesday, in Barre, Massachusetts, Edward Harnois Jr., 43, was inside his father’s home when he heard a loud bang. He went outside to find his father, Edward Harnois, 64, and his son, Jeffrey Harnois, 25, in the backyard swimming pool – inside the grandfather’s Cadillac. The older Edward Harnois had apparently smashed the Cadillac through a wooden fence in the yard and continued on into the pool and partially sank. Edward Junior rescued his father and son while another individual in the home called 911. The two were taken to a medical center. Police were investigating to determine whether mechanical problems or operator error caused the incident.
* Or voodoo would be the third possibility.
* I’m guessing it’s the old “Grandpa mixed up the gas and brake pedals again.”
* Hey, at least this time it wasn’t somebody plowing through the crowd at an outdoor festival.
* Time to replace that wooden fence with metal.
* This is not what we mean when we say driving a Cadillac is like driving a boat.
* Think of it as a tribute to the Who’s old drummer Keith Moon.
* To be fair, rock historians feel Keith may have driven a Rolls Royce into an empty pool and that combined with the time he drove another car into a pond.
* Hey, the guy was a drunk and a terrible driver. He ran over and killed his own chauffeur.
* There is some good news from this latest incident. Critics are calling it the first great belly flop of summer.
* Has anyone seen the pool boy?
