GRANDMA GETS RID OF KIDNAPPER WITH PERFUME, SWIFT KICK
A 61-year-old Middletown, Ohio, grandmother says she used a bottle of perfume and a swift kick to get rid of a kidnapper. The ski mask-wearing man approached Joyce Kenney as she stepped out of her home, grabbed her and forced her to drive him through the city. While driving, Kenney started speeding up to about 80 mph and weaving hoping a police officer would pull her over. “He told me to stop and I said I couldn’t because I was nervous,” Kenney said. When she got to a turn lane, Kenney said she saw her chance and took aim with a bottle of Bath and Body Works spray stashed in the side pocket of her Toyota Yaris. She says she sprayed the man in his eyes with perfume and kicked him as hard as she could. She says he went out the door and she saw him “bounce on the street.” She then drove to a gas station where she called police and waited for officers to arrive. The suspect is still at large.
* And he smells lovely!
* If he wanted to drive through the city, why not just call Uber?
* “Do you have any libraries or museums? And show me the hot night spots.”
* Well, I have a new hero today.
* Sorry but “heroine” just doesn’t sound right anymore.
* The takeaway here is, if you want to speed in Middletown, Ohio, go ahead, ’cause the cops don’t care.
* Wow, you step outside your door and you get kidnapped? And I thought I was having a bad morning.
* She subdued him with body spray? What does she use when she wants to put on perfume? Mace?
* Sounds like a pretty “up” guy. Some people just a have a bounce in their step – this guy’s whole body bounces.
