GERMAN HOTEL BANS OVERWEIGHT PEOPLE
The Beachhotel Sahlenburg, on the North Sea in the German city of Cuxhaven, has banned overweight guests due to fears they’ll break the resort’s elegant designer furniture. In order to stay at the hotel, you need to be 290 pounds (130 kilograms) or less. Hotel Operator Angelika Hargesheimer says she wants to have a designer hotel with nice furniture. She noted that a larger visitor recently broke one of her hotel beds – which was the moment she decided to bite the bullet and ban the big-boned. Besides, she says, the design of the chairs make them uncomfortable for larger people, and the showers are too small for them.
* It’s a simple system. If you can’t fit through the front door, you don’t get it.
* Instead of a chocolate mint on your pillow, they leave a stalk of celery.
* “Good night, see you at the breakfast buffet! Ha – just kidding. The is no breakfast buffet, because it’ll make ya fat!”
* If furniture designers aren’t making stuff for large people, they won’t be in business much longer.
