FLORIDA SEWER CLOGGED, PROBLEM DISCOVERED
In Fort Meyers, Florida, the Public Works office received complaints about a foul odor in the area. Workers found the problem: an 11-foot alligator stuck in the sewer, dead. The subsequent blockage had caused the odor neighbors complained about. The local public information officer said most alligators found in the drains are significantly smaller.
* Wow, you die trapped in a sewer. It’s a great metaphor for modern life.
* “We’re gonna need bigger pipes.”
* Can we get a courtesy flush please?
* Don’t people in Florida know the dead alligator smell by now?
* I guess for the Public Works guys, the only thing worse than finding a dead alligator in the sewer is finding a live one.
* The alligator’s last thoughts: “I’m stuck! Damn, shouldn’t have had that last rat.”
* These beasts were catching animals by the water when the animals were dinosaurs. I’m sure they’ll survive our little run on the planet.
* Not this particular one but the species in general.
* Longtime residents said the there hasn’t been a smell this bad down there since the Bush-Gore election recount.
