“FLIGHT TO NOWHERE” NOW A DATING OPPORTUNITY
Taiwanese airline EVA Air has added a twist to the “Flight to Nowhere” concept. They’ve added a speed-dating element. 20 single men and 20 single women will board a plane for a three-hour ride, then land right back where they started. The full-circle trip will then be followed by a two-hour date back on land. The flights, called “Fly! Love Is In the Air!” are set to take place on Christmas, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. Each flight will take off from Taoyuan International Airport in Taipei, then circle the island nation for several hours. Inside the plane, travelers will be seated by random selection, but will be encouraged to mix and mingle while enjoying a meal and drinks. After landing, there will be an additional two hours where everyone can further get to know each other.
* Not the best idea – highlighting the airline meal.
* “Hi, my name’s Shu-ling, I’m the hacking cough in 6-A? I saw you talking with the fever and the runny nose in 3-B and thought you looked cute.”
* Can you reserve an airplane restroom for an in-flight quickie?
* To be honest, I’m surprised they didn’t jump straight to In-Flight Orgy.
* This is actually a much better way to do contact tracing for COVID, not to mention STD’s.
* Flight to Nowhere is what I used to call all of my first dates.
