FINLAND TO INTRODUCE THE FOUR-DAY WORK WEEK
Finland is introducing a four-day work week and six-hour days under a massive reform by the world’s youngest prime minister, Sanna Marin. Marin, 34, who became prime minister on December 10, said: “People deserve to spend more time with their families, loved ones, hobbies and other aspects of life, such as culture.”
* “Oh, boy, more time to sit around and look at all the snow,” say Finlanders.
* The first millennial to run a country, and her first action is to help everyone slack off. Maybe these millenials aren’t so bad after all!
* A four-day work week with six-hour days. Well there sure ain’t an Amazon distribution warehouse in Finland’s future.
* Meanwhile, next door in Sweden, the workers in the IKEA factories are going “What the hell?!”
* It’s all part of Finland’s goal to be the World’s Number 1 producer of divorce.
* I can’t help but think this is a result of intense government lobbying from all these TV streaming companies, trying to add more subscribers.
