ESCAPED BLACK PANTHER STOLEN

You may have heard the story last week of a black panther on the loose in the French town of Armentieres. The 6-month-old declawed panther had escaped from its owner’s home through an open window. It was captured while walking on the rooftops and was taken to the Maubeuge Zoo while awaiting transfer to a refuge for mistreated animals. But on Tuesday morning, the panther was discovered to be missing. Investigators said there was no damage to the enclosure, but the security system appeared to have been tampered with by the apparent thieves.
