ELECTRONICS THIEVES FORGET TO TURN OFF DEVICES' GPS
Four people were arrested shortly after they allegedly staged an armed takeover robbery of a T-Mobile store in Torrance, California, on Sunday night. The suspects allegedly took iPhones, iPads and other electronic devices before fleeing in a car. But the robbers did not turn off the GPS locators in the devices. Soon after the robbery, police located the car a little more than two miles away using GPS coordinates from the stolen electronics.
* Sometimes it’s too easy.
* Forehead slap!
* Did the four people provide their own handcuffs, too?
* Crime in the 21st Century. So many details to remember!
* I think they knew they were in trouble. During the robbery they were already wearing orange jumpsuits.
* Also, you could hear Siri giggling.
* Then again, for those 2 miles before they were caught, they must felt like a million bucks.
* We still have to say “allegedly” here? We used the stuff they took to track them down. Doesn’t that count for anything?
