DRIVER WANTED TO FINISH JOINT BEFORE BEING PULLED OVER

Police in Clinton, Michigan, tried to pull over a Lincoln Continental for having an improper plate. The driver kept going for several miles. At one point, he put up a finger signaling he would pull over in a minute. At last, the man, 36-year-old Stravansky Hinds, stopped his car. The reason for not pulling over sooner? Mr. Hinds told troopers he wanted to finish his marijuana joint and call his family before he headed to jail, police said. He said he knew he had a warrant out of Florida, there was marijuana in the vehicle and he knew he was going to jail. He did.
* “Oh, wait – one last thing – I need to pick up my dry cleaning.”
* Cops don’t like it when you make them waste gas.
* Should have called Uber.
* He knew that virtually everything he was doing – outstanding warrant, improper license plate, pot, booze – was illegal, and he could have changed his behavior at any time. But why bother doing that when you can go to jail?
* “Stravansky Hinds.” I can’t decide what that sounds most like – A multinational corporation, a fancy wine, or a Bond villain.
* “Son, you’re going to drive me to drinkin’ if you don’t stop driving that hot rod Limcoln.”
* Darn, what car model rhymes with “smokin'”?
* “Son, you’re going to have to get a rental, if you don’t stop driving that Continental.”
* Clinton, Michigan, huh? Ironically, the state just went to Bernie Sanders Tuesday night.
