DOLPHINS PROTECT MOM WHALE & BABY FROM GANG OF WHALE TOUGHS

A pod of heroic dolphins have been captured on video defending a humpback whale and her calf from a group of five male whales. The mother named Spirit (* How do they know her name?), and her male calf Sunny (* How do they know HIS name?), found themselves in danger while swimming off Flinders Bay on Western Australia’s southwest coast on Sunday, when a group of young male humpbacks (* or “Harvey Weinwhales”) began trying to mate with the mother. Success for one of the males could have separated Sunny from Spirit, leading to the calf’s death. Members of Whale Watch Western Australia, who filmed the event, watched on in amazement as 10 to 15 bottlenose dolphins suddenly came to the aid of the mother and her son, who the male whales chased for more than 30 minutes. The dolphins gathered around the tired female humpback and thwarted the younger male humpbacks. Eventually, another male humpback then began to act as an “escort” for the mother and calf, and chased the smaller males away.
* Bottlenose dolphins, the Guardia Angels of the sea. They even wear those little red berets.
* Let that be a lesson to you, Sunny. Don’t grow up to be a jerk.
* Were they Whale Watchers, or Whale Sex Watchers, more like, and I think that’s just sick.
* Humpback whales can be MILFs. Who knew?
* The young humpbacks took off to find a 20 dollar oarfish.
