DOLPHIN LANDS IN BOAT, INJURES WOMAN
A dolphin leaped onto a boat in Southern California, crashing into a woman and breaking both her ankles. Chrissie Frickman was boating with her husband and two children June 21 when a pod of dolphins swam alongside them. One of the animals jumped on the vessel, knocking Frickman over and landing on her legs. Her husband, Dirk, pulled her out and called authorities as he headed toward an Orange County harbor. While he steered, he splashed water on the 350-pound dolphin to keep it alive as it thrashed around and bled from some cuts. Dirk Frickman got help pulling the dolphin onto a dock with a rope and then releasing it. It swam away. Oh, yeah – his wife is still recovering from her injuries.
* Dirk Frickman?
* It sounds like you have to add “Private Eye” every time you say his name.
* Did the dolphin do it on porpoise?
* I thought dolphins were supposed to be smarter than this?
* “Oh look. My sonar says there’s a boat over there. I think I’ll jump on it!”
* Or maybe dolphins are even hornier than we thought.
* The dolphin tried to pull a hot dog move and jump over the boat but misjudged the distance.
* 350 pounds? So imagine Mike or Molly jumping onto you.
* Although I doubt if they can leap out of the water.
* Do Mike and Molly even float?
* What do you bet it was still the husband’s fault?
* “Why’d you have to steer the boat right where those dolphins were swimming?”
* Just be glad it wasn’t a swordfish.
